About us: Why Odtahomat exists

Odtahomat is where the customer saves and the tow truck earns — in the very same trip.

A tow truck loads a car in Prague, drives it to Pilsen — and returns completely empty. At that very moment, someone in Pilsen is looking for a tow to Prague. Two cars, two trips, one of them completely pointless. We saw this for years from inside the roadside assistance business, and it never made sense to us. We founded Odtahomat to make those empty kilometres disappear: we connect a transporter already driving the same direction with a customer who needs a car moved. Nothing complicated — just finally smart.

Everyone comes out ahead

When one trip is fully used, everybody wins:

You — your car catches a ride instead of paying full price.

The transporter — earns on a route they'd drive anyway.

The air — one truck on the road instead of two. Less diesel, fewer wasted kilometres.

And that's exactly the point — one trip, two sides benefiting at once. We don't pretend to be saving the planet. But we do believe in common sense — if the vehicle's already on the road, it should be full.

We're a Czech project that grew out of respect for the tow-truck trade and a wish to do things a bit more efficiently. We don't want to dominate the market — we want to be useful. The first place you check, whether you need a car moved or an empty bed filled.
